This is the BAD BOY of exhausts with 105mm (4.01")diameter highly polished tubing, with an exhaust cannister fabricated from the most incredible fabrication material on the planet; Titanium!!!! The exhaust exits the car at a slight angle, which is the trend in all exhausts now (even TRD), so as to avoid bends. If you have a SINGLE or TWIN turbo upgrade or are running maximum BPU++ then this is your ticket to power and weight reduction.

(this editorial was from 2001!) We just installed this exhaust on my personal car and the fit and quality are the best I have seen for an exhaust system, period. What differentiates this product from others is the way it fit's the car. It comes with an additional bracket that mounts near the tranny (rear) cross member which causes the main piping and entire exhaust to fit very close to the vehicle (no rubbing). We just removed the APEXi GT Spec 3.5" exhaust from my car and there is little question that this exhaust has more ground clearance then the GT Spec and, probably more than any aftermarket exhaust I have seen to date. One of our key worries was the size of the diameter causing less ground clearance, but that has turned out to be inaccurate and we are all very pleasantly surprised.

There are two quick dis-connecting area's on this exhaust for racing. A v-band style clamp is employeed at the connection to the down pipe, and the Titanium cannister is removable as well for drag or road racing. This exhaust system comes equipped with an insert-able silencer which quiets this exhaust down to below GReddy PE levels or just about stock for those long freeway road trips.

Okay what about sound and driving impressions? This exhaust has NO resonators or pre-mufflers of any kind. Because of this, our expectations were for an exhaust note that would be too loud and resonate under normal driving. Unbelievably this is not the case. The exhaust note is now a deeper rumble (even more than Tanabe Racing Medallion), and is one-step louder than the Racing Medallion. Frankly, I love the sound as even compared to my favorite exhaust the GT Spec. It sounds incredible under wide open throttle on my single turbo car, and I would estimate if this exhaust is coupled with a larger diameter down pipe, that an fairly significant increase in HP would be realized on the top end of the car (noticeable with single turbo car).

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the loudest exhaust and 1 being the factory exhaust sound, the HKS Titanium comes in at around a 8.5 (loudest of all Japanese exhaust).

This will fit to a RMM down pipe, or any single or twin turbo upgarde down pipe as well as bolt to the factory set-up!!!

Plus when people say what exhaust are you running? You say, "HKS Titanium Race Series"
