These pistons are offered with an anodized top crown and top ring land. Total Seal conventional rings in1.2mm, 1.2mm, 2.8mm are included in each set. The top ring has been changed to a 1.2mm chrome ring from the nominal 1.0mm at the request of customersí needs. This thicker top ring will help with high cylinder pressure when huge boost is wanted. Sizes will include STD, .25mm, .5mm, .75mm, 1.0mm. These pistons come with round wires locks and a 9310 material upgraded pin, which is a .200 thousandths thick wall by 2.250 length pin.
This piston has intake valve relief diameters of 1.46 which will receive up to a 1.36 intake valve. The exhaust relief diameters are 1.28 which will receive a 1.18 exhaust valve. This piston also has state of the art skirt coating from Line 2 Line, which is an abradable coating, self clearancing, and porous to maintain a stable oil film. You build it tight at zero tolerance and let it wear in to the required piston to cylinder wall clearance. Each piston finds its fitment under load at temperature. When there is room for the perfect oil film, the wear stops. This keeps the piston square to the cylinder wall which in return provides excellent ring seal due to little or no piston rock. The ring pack has also been moved down, giving more top ring land integrity at .278 thousandths. A thicker skirt is maintained at .155 thousandths and a thicker crown at .275 thousandths. Each piston weight is 342 grams with Line 2 Line coating, and a 9310 material pin weight of 120 grams. All of the above upgrades are standard, on shelf stocked part, for a strong piston foundation that remains run after run.
