We have your solution. We performance modify your JDM Spec CT20 Supra 2JZGTE turbo's to support the Evo 3 16G compressor wheel (or your USDM CT12b to GT28 spec) and machine in a custom Inconel turbine wheel to match. These compressor wheels are pressure cast and use thin blades to cut down on weight (and thus, spool time), and are capable of 40 lb/min of airflow! All balanced closer than factory specs within 1/2 gram per square inch, all reworked with a new 360 degree thrust bearing. The turbine inlet gets ported, the wastegate gets ported, the wastegate actuator gets upgraded
This all is a direct fit replacement for your factory turbo's! The sequential system will work great, although we often recommend going with a "true twin" conversion, making them parallel instead of sequential.
How much boost can we run? On the stock turbos with the ceramic set-up you are limited to around 15psi, much more and they explode or their life is shortened. This package you can run 21+psi all day long, make over 650rwhp!
The turbine wheel is an aftermarket Inconel design, and is MUCH more durable than the stock ceramic wheel. All of weak points and bottlenecks on the factory turbos have been improved. The rotating assemblies are balanced to within 0.5 g/in2, which is over six times more strict than factory. These JDM Hybrids use machined stock compressor and turbine housings to accommodate a larger 16G CHRA and compressor wheel, plus a custom spec turbine wheel that is very similar to the standard GT28 turbine wheel, but with fitment for the Toyota housings.
So, with this upgrade you can now push your JDM turbos MUCH harder than when they were stock without worry of them exploding the ceramic turbine wheel! The 360 degree thrust bearing helps eliminate oil starvation that happens with the stock 270 degree thrust bearing at high shaft/wheel speeds when running 20+ psi of boost.
"I live in the UK, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, how do I get this done?" Well, if you don't want the hassle of sending your factory twins to us, we can purchase a set for you and do the modifications. This is an additional $650 for that.

Wastegate Actuators: We have two wastegate actuator pre-sets. The first is 14-20psi, which is great for those that will only ever run pump gas (91/92 Octane) and are happy with 500 hp. The heavy duty version is 16-28psi, which would require better fuel, if you are running 19psi or more.
US Spec Turbos??? Yes, we have not forgotten you, but because the US CT12b is a wholly different design, there is much more work and components involved and required to do the complete GT28 upgrade. You will also have a higher upside with the USDM spec GT28 kit. If you live in a smog control State like California and need the under-hood to look stock, then this option is for you!!! Select from drop down menu, and this will require you to send us your stock twins for high performance retro-fitting and tuning. These tend to be more difficult to source, so if you have a set to send in, that will make life much easier.
Dyno Results: These dyno runs were done on a BPU level car with an upgraded fuel system and running in true-twin (parallel) mode (not sequential).. This customer ran 500rwhp on the stock US 550cc injectors, then upgraded his fuel system to support the bigger boost runs. The lower power run was done at 23psi, which is at the peak performance level of these GT28 Hybrids, the second run was done at 29.4psi (a level is beyond safe for this turbo). The point being, on stock cams, stock ECU, through the USDM MAF, this set-up made nearly 600rwhp on the stock modified twins! Talk about a sleeper rocket!
Question for Mark. Is there anything else I need to buy to run these on my factory twin turbo (JDM or USDM). No, there is nothing else you need to buy. You can run 450bhp on the JDM 440CC injectors (make sure you confirm air fuels) or about 550bhp on the USDM 550cc injector car. We would suggest that if you do not already own an aftermarket blow off valve, that you purchase one. If you are going to run more than 21psi, then we also suggest an upgraded front mount intercooler.
The ultimate budget set-up is our SupraStore front mount intercooler (direct plug n play with this kit), with a weld-on HKS SSQV3 blow valve located near the throttle body, which provides better pressure response for the second turbo. We can ship you our budget front mount inter cooler complete with the blow off valve pre-welded to the inter cooler piping as well.
Do these spool up like stock? There is no magic fairy dust, in all reality, we have taken the factory turbos and machined in large wheels, which means it takes more exhaust energy to spin. Since the motor hasn't changed, then it will take a few more rpm's to spool these. Expect about a 350rpm shift in spool and a slight drop in torque at the very low-end, but what these turbos do is allow you to run more than 15psi (for those JDM ceramic turbos) and boost into the 20psi+ range, where the turbos begin to shine.

TURBO CORE INSTRUCTIONS:
Please remove oil and water lines from the turbochargers to reduce damages during shipment. When boxing, please pack WITHOUT using packing peanuts or bubble wrap. The weight and sharp ends of the turbocharger pops bubbles and breaks peanuts, making a big mess. We recommend the use of newspaper, and package the turbos tightly. A double wall box would be great! If you use the flat rate boxes, be aware that they are not rated for the weight of a turbocharger. If the turbocharger gets damaged (broken studs, bent actuators etc.) there will be extra charges for replacements/labor!
When sending in the turbocharger cores please separate the 2 turbochargers from the manifold and the turbo collector. There are (3) 14mm nuts on each turbine inlet and (5) 12mm nuts on the turbine outlet. Once those nuts are removed, the turbochargers we separate and are ready to put in a box. When packaging, please make sure the actuators are protected. If the secondary actuator is damaged you will be charged extra. If you send the turbochargers complete you will be charged an extra $150 for disassembly labor
We also highly recommend you port the turbo manifold to match the turbine inlets on the turbocharger upgrades! This is the main reason boost is harder to control with the JDM turbochargers vs. USDM turbochargers! The air speed flowing through the manifolds is so fast that the wastegate can not vent enough exhaust gasses to control the boost. These internal wastegates can only flow so much excess gas. Open the ports up and the air speed will slow down, therefore the wastegate works like it should!
Please note that the USDM turbos are very different and require different modifications to upgrade. These get the Garrett GT28 parts instead of the Evo 3 "big" 16G parts, but still provide similar performance. Which is better? That's for you to decide, but both upgrades pump up capabilities to over 600rwhp while still looking stock!
We can port your exhaust manifold for you as well, however you will need to send that in and pay shipping back and forth. Not including shipping, expect to pay $75 for the porting service. You may notice hairline cracks near the wastegate hole. This is common on nearly every single set we've seen, and nothing to worry about. Many internally gated turbos have these, and in all of our experience and customers, we've never had an issue with them.
