The new AEM Short Ram air intake system is the world's most advanced short pipe air induction system. Although the AEM Cold Air System provides more punch, the Short Ram intake system out runs and out guns any and all short pipe systems. This is possible by AEM's knowledge of air flow velocity. Each application uses custom tuned technology to deliver the most efficient and powerful air flow possible. Every intake is finished in a choice of high-gloss, heat reducing Zirconia based powder coating colors: red, blue, or clear silver. By advanced engineering, the AEM Short Ram produces substantially more air flow velocity than all other short systems.
AEM Cold Air and Short Ram induction systems create MORE horsepower than EVERY intake system on the market. Only AEM induction systems feature CNC mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum intake pipes that are individually tuned in both length and diameter to maximize power in each application. Every AEM intake is powder coated and has TIG-welded fittings and brackets. For filtration, AEM utilizes its new lightweight urethane, four-layer cotton-gauze filter that features a redesigned air horn that makes an additional 1-3 HP on our Air Induction Systems. All AEM air induction systems are C.A.R.B exempt and come with complete installation hardware, comprehensive instructions, AEM decal and license plate frame.
This fits both the 2001 & 2002 Lexus IS300. For optimum performance select an Apexi S-AFC air fuel controller to peak HP gains. Expect a 5-7HP gain with the intake alone and another 7hp with the S-AFC.
NOTE: AEM dyno shows 181.7 peak hp (factory peak 170.9 hp) which is a 17.9 hp gain at 6,500 rpm.
