Back in the early 2000s, the GReddy Type S was a very popular blow off valve. Its unique sound had everyone talking..."sounds like a space ship!" "wow that sounds like a laser!" people would say. They caught on very quickly in the DSM world especially, and are universally liked for their sound.

Unfortunately, GReddy discontinued these BOVs long ago, most likely because of poor quality materials. The problem with them was that the adjustment screw for spring pressure would strip out the aluminum very quickly, rendering the BOV stuck in whichever position it stripped out at. Additionally, the GReddy diaphragms would have no problem rupturing after regular use, and even these replacement ones (which were upwards of $80 each), have been long since discontinued.

Finally, a replacement is available! I loved it so much, I purchased one myself for my own Supra! From the outside, it looks identical in almost every way to the original Type S, and even sounds exactly the same! Check the videos below!
